Today's look is my 2nd styled outfit as a member of the Unique Vintage Style Society for the #iamunique Campaign! It's amazing how sexy one can feel in a simple modest 1930's - 1940's style dress, and even in 2015. I'm constantly reminded why I prefer vintage styles, as there was so much style, glamour, and celebration of the feminine form, yet in a classy way. Unique Vintage has so many options for stunning vintage reproduction dresses, and I was smitten with this Stop Staring Navy & Ivory dress! I absolutely love it's shape and the delicate dotted nude attached neck tie.
As I stated in my kick off post for this campaign, wearing vintage styles is definitely a minority activity in today's world. One can expect to be questioned, stared at, and completely misunderstood.... but I've decided that I would live the way we all say we want to live: celebrating what I am passionate about regardless of what others think. In so doing, I've actually been so rewarded and I am honored to inspire a special community of vintage lovers to do the same. This celebration of uniqueness is so important, and I'm completely motivated by the #iamunique Campaign to continue fearlessly embracing what I love and who I am. With the small amount of time we're given here on this earth, there is no point hiding from fear of what others will think.
