Welcome to the very last of my summer swim series! We began Part 1 with Glamour Doll, Part 2 with Classic Doll, and today's last look is: Boardwalk Doll. I couldn't think of a better location than iconic Navy Pier, which was built in 1914. It was designed for cargo as well as a docking space for passenger excursion steamers... a place during pre-air conditioning eras for cooling down with fun shops and entertainment. By the late 20's it was described as the "summer playground" complete with dazzling dancehalls, dining pavilions and even had it's own streetcar line! So today's boardwalk look seemed quite at home in this summer glamour spot of days gone by.
Sugar Doll swimsuits are not only made with durable high quality stretch nylon/lycra, but they are uniquely shaped in a cone-like design and are available in a wide range of sizes - fitting up to a 40" bust. With mix and match designs, I couldn't resist the incredibly retro floral Daisy Bottom paired with cherry red Wink Top. Even while on the boardwalk, this pinup always looks for ways to add glamour. So I paired today's look with another pair of beauties from Marilyn Monroe Eyewear. I can't say enough about MM frames.... today's sparkling pair is Lorelei, featuring twenty-four baguette Swarovski crystals and rose-colored cat eye frames. Every single pair of Marilyn Monroe's just oozes glamour and femininity, in true form to the tribute of MM herself.
